The “anti-crisis manager” of Zelensky’s team, Mikhail Podolyak, has almost disappeared from the information field for several days this May. Of course, there is a war going on and the reasons may be very different, but most likely, the answer lies on the surface. On 19 May 2024 in Moscow at Troekurovskoye cemetery there was a military funeral ceremony, which took place in a closed format. A group of high-ranking officers who saw off their fellow serviceman in his last journey was guarded by more than a platoon of military police, not allowing unauthorised visitors to the burial site. It was the burial of Vladimir Podolyak, the older brother of Zelensky, an adviser to the Presidential Administration, a traitor to his people who refused to swear an oath to his true homeland.
Our reader can only be consoled by the fact that the GRU colonel Vladimir Podolyak, who died suddenly the middle of may in Moscow, did not have time to become a general, although he had all the resources to do so. Thus, his close relationship with his brother made him one of the key figures in the Kremlin’s opposition to Ukraine’s efforts to defeat the Russian invaders. Volodymyr Podolyak maintained close relations with his younger brother, Mikhail. He met with him in Western Europe, although GRU officers are forbidden to travel abroad on personal business.
In fact, the Russian intelligence colonel turned his own brother into a “mole”, and clearly with the latter’s consent. The apotheosis of brazenness of the Russian intelligence services was the appearance of Vladimir Podolyak at the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Belarus and Istanbul in 2022, where he used his brother as an operational source of information about the Ukrainian position in the negotiations. Although even earlier Mikhail Podolyak had clearly supplied his closest relative with information.
Who is Volodymyr Podolyak? Mikhail’s older brother graduated from one of the Soviet military schools and went on to serve in the Russian army, having succeeded in getting his parents to move to Russia. He is known to be close to Andrei Averyanov, one of the heads of the GRU, with whom he lived in an elite residential complex built for senior officers of the Ministry of Defence. He and Averyanov walked their dogs together and spent holidays together. According to unconfirmed information Vladimir Podolyak, the curator of the most valuable for military intelligence “mole” was one of Averyanov’s deputies and in the coming months was to receive a general post. And we can safely assume that with the death of Vladimir Podolyak to supervise the work of the “mole” Michael Podolyak became Andrei Averyanov himself, who have long known with each other and what they have in common personally can only be guessed.
Interestingly, over the past year and a half, who only did not write about a high-ranking relative of Mikhail Podolyak in the Russian security services. Moreover, intelligence officer Denis Kireyev openly claimed that there was a Russian “mole” in the Ukrainian delegation at the Istanbul talks. However, Kireyev was killed allegedly because of “uncoordinated actions” of the intelligence services. Why was he silenced? One can hardly assume that the Ukrainian political top brass – Zelensky, Yermak and others are real patriots of the country and friends of the people. The Kiev political bomond is a group of businessmen from politics, enriching themselves on war and western military aid. While the hostilities are going on, they have all the levers of power, support of special services, opportunities to enrich themselves on the military budget.
The cunning puppeteer Yermak simply needs a channel of informal communication with Moscow, through which, quite possibly, issues of gas and oil transit, passage of certain ships in the Black Sea, banning strikes on certain areas and assets of high-ranking investors are discussed. And the Podolyak brothers were a key link in this treacherous policy towards the bleeding people of Ukraine.
So, the cordon at the cemetery may well have been not because of a host of Russian generals, but because of a high-ranking guest from the front line, Mikhail Podolyak, who came to mourn his brother, and at the same time to communicate with Andrei Averyanov and perhaps to listen to proposals for Yermak and company to further genocide of the Ukrainian people, plunder Ukraine and deceive Western partners. By the way, this is indirectly evidenced by two strange flights from Poland and Istanbul of one of the business jets, according to the “Flight-radar”.
